For those of you who didn't have old friends to catch up with the show promoters had plenty of activities to keep you entertained through out the day. The crew from Screwed Up Texas came out and put on a freestyle exhibition. They had the crowd going all day with their freestyle battles. (Much love to the white boy from Klein who just got on the mic and wrecked it). The promoters also had the ladies from the bikini contest walking around all day for your viewing pleasure. The ladies were also gracious enough to offer to pose on vehicles for anyone that asked. Texas Showdown also had a motorcycle stunt team come out and perform for the crowd. These guys had the crowd on the edge of their seats with their dangerous stunts. Towards the end of the day people started gathering around the main stage getting ready for the bikini contest. The show promoters kept the crowd happy by giving away tons of t-shirts and other free stuff. The Texas Showdown bikini contest was one not to be missed. All of the ladies on stage were very beautiful and competition was stiff. But you could tell that some girls wanted to win more than others. Lets just say some of the girls showed how badly they wanted to win, and who could blame them. 1st place walked away with a check for $500. After the bikini contest it was time for awards. The guys from Texas Showdown really went all out and handed out some very nice trophies. Along with the trophies the class winners each took home $100. The Best of Show truck and Best of Show car each took home $1000. This was a great finish to a great show. Congratulations to all the SSM members who took home trophies. I must say that I had a lot of fun this weekend. Who could ask for a better time? I got to hang out with my club, shoot some pics of badass rides, and chill with a lot of people in the scene I haven't seen in awhile. It just doesn't get any better than that. For those of you who missed Texas Showdown, you really missed a great time. These guys did a great job with the show. I'm sure with a year of experience under their belt next years show will be even better. This show has all the ingredients to become one of the great shows. I hope all of you will mark Texas Showdown on your calendar as one of the can't miss shows for next year. For those of you who were too cheap to spend the $40 to get in…..I gotta say that was probably the best $40 I've spent in a long time. Until next time…..keep draggin.
