Freeway Showdown
Freeway Showdown
This years Freeway Showdown was hosted by So Cals Local Finesse at the Nissan of Garden Grove. Great venue, cool show, and of course, awesome rides. We rolled up to the show at about 11am to check out the all the rides. There was big trophy display at the dealership entrance and in the foreground was a 2004 Nissan Titan quad cab laid out on 22s. It’s nice to see the uprising of custom trucks being promoted by not only Nissan but other dealerships as well. We left a little prematurely and disappointed because we thought the show was little too small.
So, I’m sitting in wonderful L.A. traffic, and just happen to glance towards the show and notice that the show wasn’t as small as I had thought, as we saw a swarm of customs on the top parking structure on the roof of the Nissan building…yea, I felt like jackass. So I doubled back, grabbed an IN AND OUT burger from the IN AND OUT lunch wagon, and went back into the show to check out the rest of the rides. I’m glad I saw them from the freeway, because there was about 30 or 40 more customs up there. All and all it was great show with killer rides and cool people.
