With all of the DVD’s on the market today aimed to please the custom enthusiast market it is very different for individual ones to stand out. This is not a problem for Domination, Phlat Out, or Knuckle Up videos. I decided to review each one of these DVD’s this month and discuss what I came up with. In my own opinion I believe that each of these DVD’s produce some of the hottest material on any of the DVD’s out there to date. And the best part about them is they are all different in many ways. Each video was shot in a different style, for a different intention, and in a whole different perspective. So here are my reviews in no particular order.
I first watched Dominations “Shoot 2 Kill” which is run by Oliver. Once again Oliver and staff brought together some of the best shows, parties, and rides of the year and put them into his DVD. Shoot 2 Kill features some of the most badass dragging coverage shot on a video, as well as some crazy drunk people having a great time. Domination has also yet to let us down with there full-blown feature shoots, and semi nude models always willing to model on them. Domination will always be the type of DVD that wont fall short in any aspect whether its dealing with there features, show coverage, party coverage, or anything related they are always on top of things. Besides anybody who has met Oliver also knows that he is one crazy mini trucker who is always down for anything, and is often the type of guy who brings the party with him. And who can forget his fellow mini truckers who always give us a great laugh while watching the Domination videos. So if you’re in the market for some new material definitely check Dominations “Shoot 2 Kill” out at www.DominationtheVideo.com.
I then popped in one of my personal favorite DVD’s Phlat Out Video Magazine, which also happens to be one of the original Mini Truck inspired DVD’s. I watched Series 2.01 this time around. Watching Phlat Out Video Magazine is like pulling out a Street Trucks and flipping through the pages. It is straight cut to the chase hardcore mini truck and custom car coverage and features. Ronny Armstrong cuts out all the bullshit and brings to the table some of the best show coverage you can get without picking up a magazine.
Ronny looks at the scene from a different perspective, which is why he has Magazine at the end of his Phlat Outs title. He aims to cover shows, and features, as well as products and shops rather then get into the party scene. Which isn’t a bad thing at all. Ronny’s goal in filming the DVD was to bring us some of the most hardcore show coverage out there, back to back with the some of the sickest show rides for our personal viewing. And let me tell you he does one hell of a job with that. For more information and ordering log on to www.phlatoutmag.com.
Last but not least I sat down my newly received DVD Knuckle Up Video. This is Knuckle Ups premiere DVD. The worst thing a director or producer of a DVD can do is fall short in any category when covering shows, rides, and parties, and the second worst thing they can do is over film. Knuckle Up Video made their first time attempt to bring us some crazy footage and I think that these guys pushed the envelope and did one hell of a job doing it. Knuckle Up video features some seriously insane features topped with some hot models to keep us comfortable. The DVD goes on to cover some great shows, and some mediocre product reviews. The only recommendation I can make for these guys in future DVD’s is to make the product reviews a little more interesting. Otherwise I think that Knuckle Up is a DVD jam packed with some great coverage all around. I was definitely surprised with the quality and quantity that Knuckle Up displayed especially with rumors of the DVD being made on a budget. The DVD also features some crazy dragging, and never before seen behind the scenes coverage. Check out www.knuckleupvideo.com for more info.
