Saturday’s events were almost over and everyone started heading back to their hotels or camp areas to get ready for the nights events. As for us, a hotel room, a shower and hot food were in order. Sleep followed, with dreams of more fun on Sunday. Sunday morning brought back more rides, more excitement and the burnout and bikini contests. With the import drags over, some local hot rodders brought out their drag cars for some fast 8-second ¼ mile runs. While shooting features, one Austin Healy managed to get loose near the ¾ mark and flip over, going through the lights on his lid. Damn, what a day - burnouts, bikini girls and cars flipping while doing 130 down the quarter mile! Trophies were handed out at 3 in the afternoon and everyone packed up and headed home after an exciting weekend. If you’ve never attended Indy Truck Bash, mark it for next year. The folks at Special Events and the host club, Latest Craze, put on one hell of a show. For info on next year’s show, contact Special Events at 317-263-6522. We’ll see you there.
