The engine compartment of Heather's truck was the final phase of the project, but certainly not less detailed as the rest of her truck. First, a polished E.L. Prototypes valve cover was installed for added show points during judging. Next, blue Got Hose silicone hoses were installed in conjunction with many other polished goodies including TRD high-pressure radiator cap and TRD oil cap. Several other items were chromed including the hood prop and battery tie down, and many other items received custom paint to wow the judges.

A chrome Hot Shots intake system, complete with K&N air filter helps get the stock four-cylinder engine breathing better. Billy at Ryan's Muffler in Grenada, Mississippi performed a few modifications to help get rid of the unwanted exhaust of Heather's Tacoma. First, an E.L. Prototypes polished header was installed and meets up with 2.5" polished stainless steel exhaust tubing, that passes through a free flow converter and into a Bullet free flow muffler. Since completing her Tacoma to this point, Heather has managed to take home trophies at many major events across the southeastern United States including Slamfest in Tampa, Showfest in Mississippi and Slammin' And Jammin' in Tennessee.
