After his feature in the 1999 issue of Minitruckin', Les Carr of Meridian Mississippi decided a complete makeover was in order for his 1987 Chevy S-10. With the help of his friends and family, Les set out to give the show scene something to stare at as well as something that he could be proud to show. The new journey was underway. To get the ball rolling, Les wanted to meet today's standards and have his S-10 laying body nice and firm against the pavement. He called Alan Lightsey of Meridian, Mississippi to handle the 3 1/4" body drop. With the body laying firmly against terra firma, a system to lift the S-10 was also in order. First, the leaf spring were chunked and replaced with a Pete & Jakes triangulated 4-link.
