The way I see it....
How ya'll is? It's September...the leaves are turning colors, the air is getting that crisp, cool feeling that only Indian summer can bring (except here in Texas where it stays shorts and ac weather until mid-November), and I turn a year older. Damn that hurts, but hey, I can't complain! I have everything I ever wanted, minus a running mini...lol.. but then if we got everything we wanted when we wanted it, that would suck and if nothing sucked we wouldn't know when stuff didn't suck and that would suck even more!
Last month I wrote about the ride we got to replace my S10 and I said that we got a Super Crew. Well, that deal fell through and we wound up getting the 2002 North American Car of the Year, the 2002 Nissan
Altima. Let me tell ya'll, this thing is badass! The instant you see it, you can tell it's bigger than the previous models. It is huge inside and the new 2.5-liter 4-banger gives it plenty of grunt compared to the getting tired 1.6 in the 93 Altima I call mine now.
Any who, enough of that. Everyone knows that September is basically the end of show season and with it comes the time of preparation known as winter. What do you have planned? Are you going to weld in a new roll pan to replace the one you ripped off while draggin the motel parking lot at an out of town run? Are you finally going to shave those door handles or that antenna? What about reworking that suspension to get enough lift that you can actually UN-tuck those 21's up front?
My plans for the winter are to get that D50 running, and that looks to be a monumental task to say the least! Had I known that the 2.sucks was that hard to get.... lol I also want to have it laid out by next show season, I am really jonesin' hard for a mini, and I've only been without one for a little over a month! It's easy to see when you've been bitten by THE BUG!
Does anyone else in SSM land have one of these Mitsu/D50 trucks? I've seen a couple done up, like my homie Stretch's MacroCab (can you say NastyBootySex? I knew you could...) and others. I guess it's gonna be kinda cool having something not everyone else builds, but, (there's always a but isn't there?)it makes it harder to find parts for. I searched the Internet, one of the minitruckers best tools, ranks right up there with the plasma cutter and the saw-zall, and all I came up with were old school stuff like ground effects and grilles.
I guess everything will work itself out in the end, I just wish it would hurry up...lol
Well, I guess I really should get back to my Clark Kent day job...wink wink
Until next month, keep your wheels spinnin' and the beavers grinnin' with a bit of SkweeGee Luv!
