Many of you have been watching the word "import" transform from meaning "imported vehicle" into a complete style. And as such, domestic vehicles are quickly showing that it's not just Hondas anymore. The J-Body bash is a very good example of this growing change. The show was unlike any I have attended in the past. The show was put up in a hotel where all the participants stayed and partied. The hotel was nice enough to let the show pretty much have free reign of the grounds. What a blast it was!The First Day of the bash was at the drag strip, and was a GREAT show. There were tons of exhibitors including the GM Tuner tour HAHN RaceCraft, and HighRevMotorsports.com amongst others. Many fast cars were there, some pulling 12-second runs. Many of the sub 12-second cars were not racing or were saving their engines for other races (very respectable). All in all, it was a blast to sit there and watch tons of jbodies battle it out at the track. I wished I could get project z involved (I didn't drive the 2 day drive, I opted to fly instead). In the end, the quick 8 final (there is a pic of it in the coverage) put 2 2nd gen jbodies head to head for the title of fastest jbody. An impressive day to say the least.

The next day was a day the day of the show itself. I can honestly say I have never seen that many cavaliers and sunfires in one place in my life! The best part was the variety in styles and looks. Some very nice vehicles showed, one of which (EvilZ) is by far the nicest vehicle I have ever seen (and I have seen tens of thousands). I like the fact that one of the nicest cars in the country is a jbody (a cavalier just like project Z). The show had many 5 foot tall trophies and over 50 show classes (can you believe they have that many for mainly 2 styles of vehicles?). I will be going next year as I hope you all will. Hope to see you there!Kris BloomPresident/WebmasterStreet Source LLChttp://www.streetsourcemag.com/projectz/
