California Truck Jam has always been a big part in the mini truck scene in socal. And we are very thankful that they are bringing it back and doing really big things with the show. Offering 3 shows a year including Spring Truck Jam, Summer Truck Jam, and After Dark, it is no doubt that they are definitely doing there part to keep us mini truckers busy and happy throughout the show season.This Summer Truck Jam didn’t have as great of a turnout as I expected (do to other events going on in socal the same weekend) but it was still definitely an awesome weekend for sure! Getting together the night before with some of the SoCal AcrophobiA guys, we started the fun. We headed to the Irvine Spectrum( a large outdoor mall in the OC right across the street from the show grounds) and headed straight to the bars where we meet up with Jason from Local Finesse and Stumps from Sunset SD. Had some drinks when we decided to go drag on the I-5, we quickly realized that wasn’t a smart idea, getting lid up from the Irvine police, I have to admit I was scared as shit because I knew I was pretty buzzed and dragging in OC…not very bright, But hey we got out of that one. After that we decided to go back to Stumps hotel room and continue the beer fest there. Boy was that hotel room packed! After that we finaly headed to the showgrounds at around 3:30 am. With no sleep at all we got there and just parked the trucks. Some of the guys crashed out in there rides while others stayed up the whole weekend getting there energy from ice cold coronas and bud lights, next time ill make sure I get some sleep! Man was I tired as hell at the show. I managed to drive my truck in, park it, clean it and start shooting the pics. I look back at that day and still don’t know how I managed to walk around so much and cover the whole show…oh well. Enjoy the pics fellow minitruckers!by Sergio Casillas Jr.
