1968 Ford Tourino GT

cap10rob (3 owner profiles)
Purchased: 1997-03-01

Engine

Original 302, factory automatic trans

Exterior

Factory, a couple of tiny dents, no rust , crack in front driver-side turnsignal, other than that, it's perfect. Factory falsetop.

Interior

Stock maroon vinal, still has that new car smell!

Suspension

Stock, but the back settled and sits lower than the front, drives like a boat.

Wheels

Stock steelies with GT centercaps, still has the factory whitewall tires!

Stereo

factory AM radio, 2 6X9's

Awards

None, but this was my first car, I bought it from my great grandma for $1000 when I was 14. It only has 49,000 miles on the original 302. Except for a couple of tiny dents, it looks like it just rolled off the factory floor. I sold it to my dad when I turned 16, and he still has it in storage.

Future Plans

Buy it back from my dad ASAP. I want to lower the front, replace the wheels and tires, new battery, new hidden stereo, complete tune-up, brighter headlight bulbs, and maybe power windows and remote locks; nothing that cannot be returned to factory in the future. This will be my weekend/roadtrip car. I plan to run route 66 from Chicago to the West Coast and take the Northern route back.
