Bought my first mini truck in 1988...a 1980 Datsun pickup with a convertable top. Had some crappy chromed steel wheels and slammed that thing (as much as old technology would allow) After the engine blew up, I bought a new Mazda B2200 and spent a lot of time messing with the stereo and suspension, getting it to boom and lay frame. Anyone old enough to remember "The Jungle"? Lost torsion bars to train tracks, ripped gas tanks, knocked off countless lane markers(and lane paint), and ground down the frame, spring hangers and crossmembers to the point that it was un-drivable. I Bought another B2200 to drive while the other was off the road. Now four long years later, after some new parts and a bit of welding, I'm ressurecting the formerly low Black Mazda. I've been left behind... Airbags, body drops, 4-links...no one ever heard of that stuff 5 years ago. Gotta have it. Some new rims too.
Frame used to enough, now I gotta drag door!
