Mega Entertainment threw two shows this year, with their biggest and best being held at McCormick Place in Chicago. Being home to several other major import car shows, Mega strived to have a show bigger and badder than ever. After acquiring Budweiser, Pure Power Audio, VSI, and Energy to sponsor the event, the word got out that this show was going to be something big. The doors opened at 5pm and the party went until 1am. D.J.'s were spinning all night long, as well as hot, scantily clad models walking around and dancing. For being at McCormick place, I assumed the show would be a little more low key, but I saw more naked booty there than at any other show I've been to. From a spectator's point of view, this show was a real success. But from the exhibitor's point of view, it was a big pain in the ass. Move in started at 9am, so for most of us, that meant get there early so we could go home and catch a nap. Needless to say, that didn't happen. I give the Mega guys credit for trying, but the organization of the whole event could have been handled a lot better. Live and learn I guess… I personally didn't get home until about 4:30am after a 45 minute ride home from McCormick. There was an abundance of real high quality rides at the show. Also appearing were several of Chicago's premier shops including APG Performance, Cybertek, Drivers Image, One 6 Motorsports, The Import Shop, Garage Kwai, and many more. The Mega crew had a raffle going to give away a tricked out Civic. Oswald Delgado was the lucky guy who got to bring the car. This is definitely a show to come check out if you are in the Great Lakes region.By: Jason Gedmin
