To get to that lowest of low stance, Shane turned to Greg Taylor and TNT Automotive Specialty in Waynesboro, Virginia for help. In their hands, Shane’s Mitsu was first treated to a step notch and bridge in the rear. The leaf springs were tossed and a chrome custom made 4-link was put in its place. 2600lb Firestone airbags were then installed along with Toxic Shocks to smooth out the ride. Up front, Greg installed 2” Superior drop spindles and 2500lb Firestone air shocks. Custom front shock mounts were created and Ground Control shocks bolted up. Fast actuating valves were installed and give Shane full control while behind the wheel of his Mitsu. To make the judges, as well as others, turn heads, Shane chromed the sway bar and strut arms, installed a ’89 RX-7 fuel tank and painted the entire undercarriage Ford Probe Purple. Laying frame was nice, but it wasn’t quite enough so TNT Automotive performed a 2-½ inch body drop. Laying body, Shane kept going with his Mitsu by moving on to the body.
