The way I see it....
How ya'll are? Here it is, November, GOBBLE GOBBLE YA'LL! I really can't fathom how quickly this year has flown by, seems like only yesterday I was bringing my baby girl home from the hospital and now she's 10 months old! Damn I feel old...
Anywho, where to start for this months' rambling, incoherent, sometimes informative and hopefully entertaining muses? Hhhhmmm....how about being thankful? Yeah, that sounds like a helluva place to start!
What are you thankful for? Are you thankful for your health? Your home? Your ride? How about your family and friends? Myself, I'm thankful for all the preceding and I believe that the people I have come to know and call my family, the minitrucking community, are responsible for that. In all my adult life, I have never seen a group of people that will take a person into their home, sight un-seen, and treat them like they have known each other forever... that is part of what makes our lifestyle so damn cool!
I am also thankful for having been blessed with the opportunity meet my wife, whom I probably would never have met if it hadn't been for a mini and to have children that I love unconditionally, no matter how mad they sometimes make me...lol I am also thankful for being able to offer my hand in brotherhood to someone in need and hopefully all of you are willing to do this too.
Now on to something a bit more fun! How are you decorating your home for the holidays? My game plan is to do my home up in full Clark W. Griswold-ian glory, so much so that, as my homie told me, "the meter looks like it has a turbo on it!" I saw these totally kick ass 6 foot tall Santa and Frosty yard lights at Wally-World and I want them mo-fo's BAD! All this is tentative of course; I have to get approval from the better half before I sink the money I want into this instead of a new project...there's just something about 1000's of twinkling lights that makes me giddy...
Anyways, what's your favorite Thanksgiving memory? I remember one time the dog jumped up on the table while everyone was watchin' da foozball and started eating the mashed potatoes, but not the gobble gobble gobble...stupid dog. And yet another reason why I don't like small dogs.
While your contemplating your favorite Thanksgiving memory, take a moment and remember the folks that have had losses this year and then use the next moment to tell those close to you that you love them and are glad that you are able to share this wonderful holiday with them, and if you can't see them in person, give them a call or drop them an e-mail...it's the little things in life that count the most.
Before I draw this to a close, I remembered something else that I am thankful for...shows like The Relic Hunter, Beastmaster, VIP...thank them for plenty of gratuitous cleavlandage shots!
Until next month, keep your wheels spinnin' and the beavers grinnin'!
