Anytime I get the chance to goto West Palm Beach and enjoy the warm Florida sunshine, I take full advantage of it. When Eddy Cebreco informed me of the joint effort with AON Customs to throw an all truck show in South Florida, I was definitely ready to head south and cover it. Things started off for me on Friday, as my plane landed in sunny West Palm and I was promptly greeted at the airport by Eddy and his sidekick Tammy (kruiza) from Australia. Eddy never lets me down, so as we got into the parking garage at the airport, I quickly noticed that I was being picked up in true South Florida fashion in a Caddy STS on all-gold 22" wires. Yep, I was definitely in South Florida! A quick trip to the gas station and we headed over to AON Customs where I got to catch up with the whole crew. There's just something cool about hanging out at AON because you know that no matter what day it is, everyone will eventually stroll through their doors. So needless to say, I pretty much got to catch up with everyone right away. We chilled at AON for a while then met up and went to dinner later that evening with a big group, including Junior and his wife Debra and the Xtreme Lowz crew from Canada, who made the 30 hour trek to attend the XL picnic and Tructoberfest. Saturday morning we woke up and got ready to head over to the XL picnic. Upon arrival, Master Chef Dan was behind the grill serving up hot dogs and hamburgers to the whole crew, while everyone else sat around and chilled. I quickly made my rounds to catch up with everyone and enjoyed the beautiful waterside scenery. Everyone ate and had a good time and even the cops rolled up and chilled with us for a few minutes. Nothing like a warm, sunny South Florida day.

Sunday rolled around and we had to get the day started early. Junior had already bailed to meet someone for an early feature shoot, but I got out of bed at my usual time, 11am. I showered and tried to get myself prepared and Stay'c and I drove over to Renegades, where the show was to take place. The first thing that popped into my head was the abundance of 4x4 trucks at this event, and one in particular, the 4x4 Dually owned by Willy, complete with tube frame and airbags for added lift. The Dually even rides on 24's. This thing was amazing! Aftermath brought out a host of rides to Tructoberfest, taking club participation back to Ft. Lauderdale with them. Bruce Rivera brought out his Minitruckin' cover Isuzu, complete with matching new matching bike. AON Customs and TOPS Custom Upholstery were both on hand selling their products and showing their latest projects. Also on hand was Shaun, a promoter for the XFA (http://www.theXFA.com) promoting his mixed martial arts fighting events and looking for possible contestants. Shaun also had one of his beautiful ring girls on hand to entice everyone into attending one of their events. Later in the afternoon, everyone took a break from the hot sun and went inside Renegades to enjoy the bikini contest. Shortly afterwards, the trophies were handed out and everyone packed up and went home. I myself ended up staying in West Palm Beach for several days afterwards, but we will not get into the things that happened from there. Make sure you ask me about those experiences when you see me at a show. All truck shows are not common these days, so Tructoberfest was a breath of fresh air for those that like to attend an event that revolves around trucks only.
