LiveWire
Well I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Just think another day of stuffing, turkey and ham is just right around the corner. Man I love the holidays, all mini truckers need an excuse to pack on a few extra pounds and not feel guilty. This month I want to give the significant others in your lives a chance to find some "GREAT" ideas for Christmas present ideas. I know we are all sick of getting socks and underwear, so all you need to do is tell them to check out this months Livewire article. Maybe I can help give her an idea for that hard top buy for guy in her life. So guys leave the room and tell her to come check the list.
1) XM Radio receiver- XM Radio is digital quality sound no matter where you travel. Imagine no more listening to Zanfier Master of the Pan Flute cause that's the only channel you can get. With XM you get over 100 digital quality channels from country to even the PLAYBOY channel. Receivers run upwards of $200.00.
2) LCD Monitor- Nothing can make a guy happier then a little Video action in his ultra clean ride. LCD monitors have fallen in price drastically. You can find 6.4 monitors now for well under $200.00.
3) DVD player- So what good are those new LCD screens going to do if you have nothing to watch on them? 12V DVD players are going cheap these days, starting at around 200.00 you can get a unit designed for the ride.
4) Alarm- Well with all this new audio and video equipment you know we need to keep is safe. There are models that cover every entry point along with a shock sensor and starter kill for around 200.00 and that includes installation. Most insurance companies even offer a discount if your ride has an alarm system installed.
5) Radar Detector- Now that we got the insurance payments down we don't need any tickets jacking the premiums back up. So to compensate for our lead foot get him a good radar detector that covers all latest improvements to the radar capabilities that Johnny Law has in his possession. A radar detector purchased as little as 1 year ago could be obsolete today. The more you pay the better the technology.
6) Powered Subwoofer- From the daily dragger or to the all out show ride every system can use a little more bass. Custom enclosures designed to hide away in most vehicles are now available from a lot of the best manufactures in the audio industry.
7) Receiver- Has he been griping about that CD Player in the ride keeps skipping or maybe not playing the disk that he burned last night? Well check into a new headunit. Units are now available now that even support MP3 formats so he can have hours and hours of non-stop tunes.
For stocking stuffers try some of these great ideas:
- CD Case- Can't keep scratching all the good cd's.
- Blank CD's- so he can burn some fresh tunes.
- DVD's- what good is a new DVD player without something to watch.
- Personal MP3 player- Use it to connect to the stock radio if your existing unit is not MP3 capable.
- 12v to 110v power inverter- Can plug home items into the car's power. Nice item for when you're traveling.
I know this is not the cure all perfect list for every guy out there but hopefully it can point your better half in the right direction. If you need any help finding some of these items drop me and email maybe I can help yeah out.
I hope that everyone has a safe and wonderful Christmas.
