Monday morning about 9 am Vegas time my plane lands safely and as I am walking to the baggage claim I met up with Nicole (a.k.a. Nixaccord), one of my tour guides for the week. As we left the airport we hoped in her roommates car and head back to the house for what will begin my drunken week. As I get to there house Nic was quick to show me the jello that she had prepared for her guests. Before I dove into this toxic jello I had to grab a bite to eat and while we were out we had to pick up another SEMA bound person from the airport, we will just call him Tito to keep his identity hidden. Since we couldn't check in to our hotels until 3pm and it was only noon we all went back to Nic's house to dive into the toxic jello and play on our beloved chat room confusing everyone possible. After hours of eating the jello our heads were spinning and it was time to head to our selected hotels. Once checked into the hotels and unpacked we all headed over to tito's hotel to grab a bite to eat, then head downtown to meet up with some friends that flew in for the week. After meeting up with fellow camber brothers, gambling, drinking, more drinking and Daddy from severed ties forcing us to go to some gas station (peep show) it was time for me to stumble my ass back to my hotel. Back at my hotel I was lost, after walking down several different halls and riding to many elevators I finally broke down and when to the info desk where the nice lady showed me to my room.
Tuesday was a new day I had a good 3 hours sleep behind me and it was time to hit the show and see what SEMA was all about. Leaving my room I head a couple floors down and hooked up with Yuhoe and Phatfront to grab a bite to eat before heading over to the show. As we walked up to the show all I could think of was "wow this place is huge" and I knew that it was going to be a long week trying to cover all this. Inside the show every vendor or manufacture you could dream of had their booth set up with all the new and best selling products for all the show goers to see. After a long day of picture taking and talking to different vendors it was time to clean up and prepare for the nightly activities. This night is a blur, something about Billagio, walking the strip, and Garrick and Kris showing up.
Wednesday was a new day and another 3 hrs of sleep was behind me. Rushing to get up and get ready so Garrick and Kris wouldn't leave us we grabbed our gear and headed to the show. At the show we all split up to cover our different areas bobby bell and I covered the cafeteria to get lunch and sit around for a while Garrick covered the outside area while Kris walked around looking like Garrick's bitch.
Wednesday was a good day at the SEMA show because that's the day we walked in the wheel/tire building and for anyone who knows SEMA the wheel tire building has ALL the fine models, needless to say most of the pics taken were of the models and not the trucks. After all the pics were taken we all headed to the hotel once again to get cleaned up for the nights activities. The dubs party was our first stop thanks to junior from tailgate hooking us up with tickets, then it was on to the hard rock for the Camber party at the circle bar. While at the circle bar I had the chance to drink more, gamble more and meet more people. As 6 am rolled around, Garrick and Kris already headed back to Idaho, it was time for me to find someplace to crash for my now normal 3 hr nap. Luckily my tour guides Nic and Amanda were there to take care of my drunk ass and make sure I made it home safely. Damn is this story ever gonna end?
Thursday, yep I am hurting and I am ready for a vacation. I went to the show. Then I got drunk I don't remember anything really exciting happening this day on to Friday.
Friday we woke up and got things packed up and headed to the show one last time. After walking around saying our goodbyes we headed over to the one place I had to see before I left sin city, Hooters! Which I was kind of depressed to see how small it was in size compared to the 10-11 I have around me back home but we ate, drank and headed to the airport. Before getting on the plain I had to pick up a couple souvenirs for friends back home and a couple beers for me, then off I was on my way home.
I would like to thank Nicole and Amanda for watching out for me and keeping me out of trouble and out of debt. I have to honestly say that this was one of the best weeks in my life and it is a trip not soon to be forgotten. Hopefully next year all of you can make it to the city of sin and drink a couple beers with us while asking the local Asians "sum ting wong". To understand that joke you will have to be there next year. But once again thanks to everyone who made this week so memorable.
Till next time; Ladies, keep your pants tied tight if Tito is around!!
