The body was sectioned 2 inches, shorted 10 inches, chopped 4.5 inches, and all traces of a vinyl top were removed and smoothed to look factory delete. Once all of this was tacked back together it was taken for sandblasting. When it came back from blasting Jeff and his shop partner Mike Overcash got started hot and heavy as all they had was an idea in Jeff’s head and 6 months was all Jeff was going to allow building the whole truck from scratch. Jeff decided on some 19x3 inch front Ford 9N ford tractor wheels with 1938 Harley Davidson bias-plys on the front and some International Harvester 20x5.5 inch wheels on the back running Model AA tires in the rear.

So he had wheels, some frame rail material, and some of a body. As the build progressed a Toyota 20R motor that Jeff had hopped up to about 215 HP was chosen for a dependable yet Model T 4 banger feel. He then bolted a Celica aluminum 5-speed tranny behind it. This all heads to a 4.86 ring gear inside of an 8” rear-end.
As the suspension was designed it was decided to make a straight frame but to keep it super low put both front and rear axles above the frame. To get the front suspension to attach to the 4-inch drop axle there is a cantilever to a front engine rail dragster front spring perched under the headlights and some friction shocks. As for the rear it is held up by 35 Chevy front springs cut in half for quarter elliptical action running up though above the from instead of out like normal. The front and rear are held on with hairpins.
