Dennis knew that in order to compete with the minis of today, he needed the stance to hang with the best of them. With that in mind, Dennis called The Shop in Longwood, Florida to perform a few minor adjustments to lay his S10 gently against Mother Earth. The Shop first got busy by tweaking the suspension, allowing the S10 to lay frame nicely.

In the rear, The Shop opted to keep the factory leaf springs, but utilized a four-inch block to help set the rear end closer to the ground. The rear frame rails were also notched, allowing for the extra travel needed when Dennis lays his S10 out. In the front, Belltech drop spindles helped bring down the S10, while Firestone 2500 airbags were installed at all four corners, allowing Dennis to raise his truck to a nice ride height at the flip of a switch. The Shop installed Parker 3/8" valves and airline along with two Firestone compressors and a three-gallon tank. Dennis has an ample amount of available air for those unexpected bumps in the road. Still not quite satisfied with the stance, Dennis had The Shop perform a three-inch body drop, laying the body flat, and keeping up with the competition at each and every event. The Shop had done a good job to this point, so Dennis left his truck in their capable hands and turned over a list of ideas that he had in mind for his S10. The crew went straight to work. First, a 1993 Dodge Duster scoop was grafted into the factory hood allowing just enough room for the hood to close without the help of a cowl.
