Knowing that the interior was not all complete, Jim took on the chore of rewiring everything possible. To help deaden road noise and help the stereo, the next step was to undercoat the doors and the floor, leaving everything else to be Dyna-matted. After applying all noise deadening materials, Jim added a small sound system, which includes an Audiovox CD player, Kenwood 6x9s, Sony X-plode 12-inch woofers, Kenwood 4 channel 250-watt amp and an Orion 300 watt amp.

After all these new changes, Jim thought he was ready to roll out on the show scene and begin pulling trophies. Do to a misfortunate accident with his enclosed trailer the truck ended up back out at the body shop. The good thing about this is he was able to add to the body modifications that he already had. The previous owner had molded the front pan and had Texas Body works throw down a PPG basecoat with a few graphics and pin-stripping. To add on to the already extensive list of modifications, Jim decided to go all out and have the cab equipped with a 7.5-inch chop top.

To help accent the chop, the antenna was also frenched. Moving to the bed of the truck, Jim shaved the steak pockets, taillights, rollpan and a molded in a tailgate skin for the added smooth look.
