  After the interior is all removed, the next thing to do is the frame horns. The frame horns are marked and cut off with the bumper & valance still attached. here, you can see eric using a reciprocating saw to make some really neat cuts, that won't need any grinding before welding. A plasma cutter could be used, but wouldn't do the job as cleanly.

Next is the shot of the truck with the frame horns & bumper removed in one piece. To keep the frame horns from hitting the ground when the truck is laid down, the bottom of the horns get cut down even with the radiator support mounts. The bottom is cut off & a piece of 3/16 plate is cut to box the frame back in. After the welds cool, the bumper with horns attached is positioned back on the truck, 3 1/2" lower than stock & welded in place. By doing the frame horns first, the body has something to be lowered down onto, to keep it supported.
