Some additional work is required on the passenger side frame horn to make room for the lower radiator hose. A section is removed & re-boxed with 3/16" plate.

After the frame horns are fully boxed, the next area to section is the firewall. Her you can see the tape lines we have laid out.

We cut across the firewall right above the rib where the floor & firewall are spot welded together. While eric is busy cutting, matt is in the engine compartment, making sure no hoses or wires are being cut. An air body saw seems to do the best job for this. After cutting across the top of the transmission tunnel, our next cut is down about 3" from the upper cut on the trans tunnel.
Although this does seem like it would weaken the floor, by the time we finish filling the the hole with 14 ga. steel, it ends up being stronger than stock.
While eric is trimming the trans tunnel to clear when the body is lowered, matt is busy laying down some tape lines for the rest of the cab.
