I was invited to dinner by the Kontradictions Krew were I ran into the host club Assorted Miniatures. We got to talking about what makes G-ville the show to attend and how every year it seems to double in size. With this year hosting over 1000 entries. We all came to the same conclusion, it's not about the cars the trucks the strip or even the brown water, it's about the reunion of friends that attend this show year after year and how this might be the only show all year that your friends plan and take there annual vacation time off work to attend. It's about the laughing and the fun of watching your fellow club members make complete and udder ASSES of themselves in front of EVERYONE just for a laugh. It's how no ones has to worry about the kids, the bills, the boss or the everyday stress of life, because for one weekend in May it's just about having a great time. I personally would like to say to the town of Greenville, the Mayor of Greenville, the local law officers, the local business owners, the locals, the inmates that clean up after us all weekend long, everyone who all weekend long puts up with our craziness and allows us to just have a "GREAT TIME" and most of all Assorted Miniatures who donate the proceeds of this show to charity. Coverage and article by: Ben Husser I would personally like to invite EVERYONE to join me and please write the local and civic leaders along with the business owners of Greenville thanking them for allowing us to come to there town each year and have such an awesome time, because without there support this show would never happen. We need to remember that Greenville, MS is in the HEART of the "BIBLE BELT" and for something like Showfest to take place in this small town is truly amazing in itself and if we take it for granted we could loose it forever.
