Encountering Changes
By the time everyone reads this, our 3rd issue will have been released. It’s hard to imagine that this is only our 3rd issue. Sometimes it feels like we’ve been at it for years. Got to tell you, I love it though! Even the stress of the last week of each month, scrambling to get show coverage, tech articles or feature vehicles is worth it. I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do, bring the sport to everyone out there that can’t make it from coast to coast.
So it is now July and a few big shows are near. What does July mean? Mini Nat’s and Texas Heat Wave are just a couple of things. Oh, and not go to Phoenix because I will probably melt! While writing this, I’m also thinking about all the crap that Bobby, our Contributing Editor, has in store for me while I’m down there for Mini Nat’s in Pigeon Forge. I just purchased my tickets and once again my wallet is of no use to me. (If anyone would care to contribute to the “Garrick is a broke ass” fund, please send me an email and further directions will be sent out.)
Through the month of June, we have added, deleted and changed around numerous things with the site. Kris has been busting his ass if you couldn’t tell. He redesigned that site and has been adding little things here and there. The Chat Room has been pretty popular during it’s first full month and we have received about 1200 more users just in the month of June! The magazine and the online community is growing by leaps and bounds! Things change daily around here, so be sure to come back time and time again. Everyone, be sure to fill out your profile about yourself and your ride. We even have it set up so that you can upload your photos for everyone to see. It’s like our very own readers ride section that everyone has access to 24 hours a day. Did I happen to mention the game section yet? Shame on me! You need to check it out! See how long you can stay among the top 30. Have fun beating the hell out of Kris and I, but don’t make a habit out of it cause we might just delete you from the system…..but that would be by accident of course. (Just kidding).
In this issue we have a few shows for your viewing pleasure along with the normal kick ass features and tech articles. Kevin finally juiced his Ford Focus wagon so you might want to check it out! With the weather problems the East Coast and Midwest encountered this month, we scrapped by to bring enough information and pictures for you, our readers, to enjoy! It seemed like every show that was around those sections was either rained out or shortened because of the rain. But we pulled through it like champs and continued to get something for you to look at. So take a walk on the wild side, grab a beer of your choice and enjoy the mag.
Everyone be sure to look for us at Mini Nat’s in Pigeon Forge and The Heat Wave in Austin. We’ll be at the stomping grounds. We may even have shirts and stickers. It’s even been rumored that we will have Street Source Magazine thongs for the ladies……hehe. Oh and for those of you waiting patiently for your SSM stickers, we should be getting those out any day! We thank you for your patience.
