Interior…Suspension…Stereo… It’s been a busy month!Whew! I’ve been working my butt off all month on the Focus, and I’ve got to say it's paid off! So far the wagon is juiced, has the custom plate, stereo is almost there, alarm is in, and some minor interior work has been done too. So where to begin? As many people out there know, I’m a hardcore juicehead. I’m big on hydraulics. I love switches. Anyways, long story short, although it may be easier to bag the rear of the Focus, I had my heart set on juicing it. The four pump Pro-Hopper setup that was in the Bad Apple has found a new home in the Focus, and as you can see has made things very cool. The car lays pretty low now, and the cool thing is that it will be at the same height with the 18’s on it! Unfortunately my wheels are not here yet, but my tires arrived from Toyo at the beginning of the month. 215/35 18’s ready to be mounted. I’m just counting the days until my 18” KMC wheels come… I’ve also done some basic stereo work to the Focus as well. Ken from Directed Electronics hooked me up with a TON of stuff for my car. I’ve got two amps, an in dash preamp, 5.25” components, wiring, and a pair of subs. I’ll get more in depth on the install next month when its all complete. For the moment though the alarm, amps and door speakers are installed, as well as the preamp in the dash.

Remember how last month I said that the car was called Makin’ Waves for a reason? Well the Bad Apple had the whole apple theme going on, with apples being placed all over it at shows and so forth. Although I’m not Hawaiian, nor have I ever been surfing, this car has the Hawaiian theme covered. My buddy Jarred donated a surfboard for display purposes, and I found a killer interior fabric to use. The fabric pattern is a whole story in itself. Once I had decided on a Hawaiian theme, I knew that I needed something cool for the door panel inserts. Tweed is cool and all, and I will be using some of it sparingly throughout the car, but I loved the look that some people like Mike at Professional Autosound & Security was pioneering – the animal print look. With that thought in my head I went to the fabric store and got lost in the isles. Two days later, I still hadn’t found what I was looking for. I hit the mall to get some ideas. There in Pacific Eye’s and T’s it was – a killer Hawaiian print shirt. I bought four and went home with that crazy look in my eyes. I know, I’m nuts. I cut up four shirts to do my interior. However I figure its different, and if I use the pattern sparingly, it will complement the interior nicely. Anyways, that being said, I took some pics while I wrapped my dash bezel. Follow along as I do it!
