Since my old club, Slammed Impressions, was a big part of my life for over 5 years and had a lot to do with the previous shows they put on, I couldn't pass up the chance to cover their annual show this year. This year, unfortunately enough, happened to be their final show. After having the show for several years, they decided that this year would be their last. But even though this was their last show, it was still a killer show to cover and attend. The show was held the same place it has been for the past few years, at the Biltmore Square Mall in Asheville, NC. After making the whole 2-mile drive to the show and meeting up with some of my fellow Relaxed Atmosphere guys, it was time to sit back and enjoy the show. It's nice to have a local show that you don't have far to drive to and then wash the car because it has road grime all over it. The morning started out kinda cold. The wind was blowing and the sky stayed dark for a while. But by midday the sun finally decided to come out and I realized that wearing shorts wasn't such a bad idea. As people started showing up and the parking lot started getting crowded, you could see several clubs representing. Clubs such as Pebble Pushers, Negative Camber, Grounded and Team Meanstreet. You could see people walking in and out of the mall all day as well as checking out some of the venders on hand such as Drop Em Wear and Meanstreet. With over 30 classes, there were several trophies to pass out, while the top honors, Best of Show, went to Scott Brown from Relaxed Atmosphere with his '98 Chrysler Sebring.I wish I could say that this will be a show that I will attend next year, but shows are like members in a car club…. they always seem to come and go. For those of you that have ever attended one of their shows, you know how fun they could be. Though I hate to say it, farewell Slammed Impressions!!!! Brandon BurrellAka: Relaxed5Relaxed5@Att.net
