With August upon us the main part of the show season is about over and most everyone is now in SEMA mode, I’m no different. With the recent purchase of my ’94 Caprice Wagon we have yet one more ride to prepare for the haul to SEMA. We have a lot of things in the works for this ride and should be showing tech info on the build up through these pages here soon. As I was walking around at THW this past month I had a chance to put the camera down and just enjoy a few of the rides on display and think back at some of the other shows to get an over view of what direction the scene went this year. One thing that stuck out in my mind more then anything was that there seemed to be a lot more people actually in and doing their own work to the body, suspension and paint around the country. Although ultimately this is very cool, people shouldn’t be afraid to get help to ensure that things turn out safe, proper and able to maintain longevity. Another thing that kind of came out with some of the nicer rides out there, I’ve noticed a lot more graphics then say last year. Are we back in a trend of crazy graphic schemes or are these just individuals that never felt like leaving the phase and now stand out at shows? I’ve also noticed the large quantity of older cars being built. With this large quantity among us you can expect to see many more features of Rods, Rat Rods and Mini inspired rides in older fashion popping up through out these pages. All in all I’d have to say this has been a great year for extreme customs. This issue has nothing short of custom rides, as we are here to continue to bring you killer customs from coast to coast. From cover with Jennifer’s smoothed out and molded civic to the last page of coverage you are sure to be pleased with what we have to show. So sit back and click away from page to page checking out the tons of photos we are yet again bringing you with this issue.P.S. We are still looking for those interested in doing photography for us so don’t hesitate to email me at Garrick@StreetSource.comTill Next Month,Garrick ArendsEditor
