Now we need to test fit the rear braces. We choose to have the rear braces go through the rear deck and mount to the rear of the trunk (for a more rigid body). To do this we had to drill holes in the rear deck gussets for the bars to go thru. We installed plates in the trunk (like the ones before) for the rear braces to attach to. Then we tack welded the rear braces in place.

Next comes the seat cross member. After you determine the height at which you will mount it, test fit it in place against the main hoop. It may be a good idea to test fit the frame supports and door braces at the same time. Once that is done, mark where these will be placed and trim as necessary for proper fit. Tack weld the seat cross member in place.

Next, we need to install the floor plates for the door braces. We recommend positioning them so they mount on the strongest area of the floor possible. We chose to do it on the lower part of the firewall where the unibody frame rails were. Weld the floor plates in place. The floor plates up front required a lot of grinding to the floor because of a ton of sound deadening/glue type material sprayed over the surface. We removed it so we had a clean metal surface to weld on.
